- Option 1: Andy Dalton (CIN) vs. Buffalo would have a better QB rating for the game than McNabb (MIN) vs. Kansas City. Andy currently has a higher QB ranking than McNabb, but in this game he's going up against Buffalo--yeah--the team that recently knocked off the Patriots. I take Andy, Tony takes McNabb.
- Option 2: Appreciating that Option 1 pitted a currently-higher-ranked QB against McNabb, I offered the option of betting that Josh Freeman (TB) vs. Indianapolis. Josh is currently ranked lower than McNabb. I take Josh, Tony takes McNabb.

NFL Week 4
As McNabb continues to tumble, I thought I'd throw Tony a bone. So I offered him his choice of two bets this week:

McNabb: 2TD over-under bet
This week's bet: McNabb throws 2 TD passes. I took the under; Tony took the over. So if McNabb throws one or fewer TD's, I win. If McNabb throws 3 or more TD's, Tony wins. If McNabb throws 2 TD passes, it's a push and everyone's a winner (most notably Minnesota).
The Vikes play Detroit this week. Two years ago, Tony would have a lock on this one. But now? This weekend? I think the pendulum doth swing to my favor.
But what happens if McNabb gets a running TD? Not to worry...that's not going to happen.

TAG vs JTI round 1
Today at lunch, Tony and I established round 1 of our bad bets for the 2011 NFL season.
Tony: Donovan McNabb will be the NFL Comeback Player of the Year
Jeremy: Ricky Williams will be the NFL Comeback Player of the Year
Tony: The Eagles will have a 9-7 record.
Jeremy: The Eagles will have an 11-5 record.
Tony: Donovan McNabb will have more TD passes than interceptions.
Jeremy: Donovan McNabb will have more interceptions than TD passes.
It's important to note that all of these bad bets spring from the original and incredibly foolish statement made by Tony that "Donovan McNabb will be the NFL Comeback Player of the Year." Obviously that's crazy, and I needed to establish an equally crazy response bet, thus the Ricky Williams supposition.
The Eagles record bet is actually semi-legitimate.
The TD/interception bet is actually fairly ridiculous on my part, but the scary thing is that the more I think about it, the more I think I have a legitimate chance of winning that one. Crazy.
